Dealing with Dyslexia
by phadeon on Jun.20, 2009, under Personal
I just read a post today regarding dyslexia and I think it has to be one of the most debilitating illnesses next to anxiety. I’m not sure if I say that because I suffer from both of them. People always ask if you see words backwards or if you write backwards. They couldn’t be more wrong on that aspect of dyslexia. The easiest way for me to explain it to people is to tell them to imagine reading a book and your on page three and you don’t remember what you read on page one or two. It makes it very hard to spell and very hard to retain anything that you read. The best way for people with dyslexia to learn is by visualization or hearing. It’s especially hard whenever you’re someone like me what has a lot of business ideas but whenever it comes to putting them to work you don’t because of your dyslexia. It makes it hard to stay on task. Especially whenever the new business idea you have starts with you learning a new programming code. Anxiety kicks in just with the thought of trying to read a book. I basically don’t because I see it as a waste of time knowing that I won’t retain anything that I read. I’m reading more website articles trying to see other people’s ways of dealing with dyslexia. The main thing I need to learn is habits like creating a list and to stop procrastinating so much. I really need to sit down and make a daily list and abide by it to the T. I need to also try to manage my entire day or at least a good portion of my day with a schedule of studying, work, and relaxing so that I’m not so wired from work and business tasks.
Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2

This game is scheduled to launch on November 10 which is estimated to make over $338 million in it’s first day of sale. The graphics for this version are said to be more realistic than the current version under Call of Duty 4. I’m sure that video card sales for the new one gig PCI-E and higher will be selling around the same time. It’s been said that Newegg and other companies will be lowering their price around the same time to get some of the video card sale for gamers preparing for the new CoD game.
Windows 7 upgrade for $49
by phadeon on Jun.15, 2009, under Computer
Best Buy will start preselling upgrade versions of Windows 7 Home Premium for $49 and Windows 7 Professional for $99 via its Web site for only 16 days starting on June 26. It’s not totally clear whether those are standard or promotional prices. Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte did say in an interview this week that the software maker was considering requests from Vista owners to have a free or cheaper way to upgrade to Windows 7, so perhaps this pre-order option might be that program. My personal opinion is that Windows 7 is going to be a very good operating system. I’ve done beta testing and also testing on the first release and it looks to be a very stable and fast operating system. Compared to the Windows Vista disaster it should be a lot faster with less resources being used. I although won’t be upgrading from Windows XP anytime soon. I’ll continue to play with Windows 7 in VMWare workstation.
HP Master PC Technician certification
by phadeon on Jun.15, 2009, under Computer
Passed my HP Master PC Technician certification test this past Friday which was a pretty hard test. Now onto the HP Master TV Technician certification and then Samsung Technician certification. Hopefully I’ll have the TV cert within the next week or so. Hopefully it won’t be as hard as the PC one. I hate trying to remember all the uses of HP PC-Doctor.

I read a good RSS Feed from another website that talks about procrastination and other things like it.
